Newton was an alchemist. So were Boyle, Paracelsus, da Vinci, Leibniz, Sędziwój ‘Sendivogius’, جابر بن حيان Jabir ibn Hayyan, and 魏伯陽 Wei Boyang. Jung built an entire psychology from studying alchemical texts. What could you discover?

CONSCIOUSNESS-DIRECTED MOLECULAR DELIVERY: THE EDIBLE TALISMAN™ METHODOLOGY
食符 (shí fú) — The Edible Talisman
Every molecular compound that enters a living system encounters a recipient whose internal state is actively modulating the same biological machinery the compound engages. This is not limited to emotional states alone. Living matter receives through multiple simultaneous channels — chemical, electromagnetic, vibrational, thermal, interoceptive — and through multiple gates of intake beyond oral ingestion: respiratory, dermal, fascial, auditory, visual, and through the coherence of the biofield itself. At each of these interfaces, the recipient’s state shapes what is received and how it is integrated.
This multi-channel reception is established across independent bodies of peer-reviewed research — from psychoneuroimmunology to nutritional epigenetics to contemplative neuroscience — yet no existing protocol accounts for the relationship between the compound’s molecular action and the recipient’s full somatic state at the moment of delivery. The variable is proven consequential and universally uncontrolled.
The Edible Talismans™ methodology, developed by Melusina de Melita, addresses this gap. It is a protocol framework for the conscious preparation of molecular substrates — and the conscious preparation of the recipient — such that the in-formative signature of the substance and the somatic state of the receiver are brought into specific coherence across the full spectrum of intake channels. This includes the orchestration of post-ingestion processes: the conscious guidance of molecular substrates within the body toward their intended destinations in accord with their inherent purpose.
The methodology generates testable hypotheses, a concrete experimental design, and translational applications across both traditional and contemporary contexts. It operates upstream of existing medical and nutritional categories — not combining them, but identifying the unified operation from which they differentiated.
This research builds on the Foundation’s published work in alchemical food science, including Coction: The Alchemy of Food and Coction: The Alchemy of Food — Extended Edition (co-authored with Dennis W. Hauck), featuring an alchemical herbs and foods glossary, original illustrations, and a substantial section on women in alchemy — past and present.
Convergence context: Senior Chinese researchers have characterised TCM-epigenetics research as “relatively limited, which is not in line with current status” (吴春福 Chunfu Wu, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Chinese Herbal Medicines, 2025). In the West, parallel work in social genomics (Steve Cole, UCLA), relational epigenetics (Michael Meaney, McGill), and contemplative neuroscience (Richard Davidson, Wisconsin) has independently established that internal states produce specific, measurable epigenetic signatures. The Edible Talisman™ methodology sits at the convergence of these research streams — addressing the variable that each has characterised but none has yet controlled for in molecular delivery.

RECOVERY OF ALEXANDRIAN SCHOLARSHIP: REUNITING EASTERN AND WESTERN TRADITIONS
水地 (shuǐ dì) — Water and Earth
Where Eastern and Western Traditions Re-Unite
The Domus Hermeticus Foundation conducts original research into the operative foundations of the alchemical tradition, working directly with primary source texts across Eastern and Western lineages to recover what these traditions understood about the nature of matter and its transformation. This research has produced substantive results.
Through rigorous, agnostic textual analysis of the Emerald Tablet — the foundational document of the Western alchemical tradition — the Foundation’s research has recovered an operative structure that differs from the conventionally accepted seven alchemical operations. The recovery yields seven external physical operations containing thirteen internal operations, extracted directly from the text without interpretive overlay. This structure accords with observable natural processes and is independently verifiable.
Cross-tradition analysis has revealed that this recovered operative framework accords with the 管子 Guanzi Shui Di (水地, “Water and Earth,” c. 5th–1st century BCE) and the emanation sequence of the 道德經 Dao De Jing (Chapter 42):
道生一，一生二，二生三，三生萬物
The Dao produces one, one produces two, two produces three, three produces the ten thousand things (萬物 wànwù).
The research demonstrates that these traditions share a common operational logic that predates the historical separation of Eastern and Western knowledge systems at Alexandria. Textual and structural correspondence has been established between the work of Maria Prophetissa (c. 1st–3rd century CE), the earliest named alchemist in the Western canon, and the cosmological framework of the 管子 Guanzi and the 道德經 Dao De Jing — specifically, that Maria’s Axiom —
“One becomes two, two becomes three, and out of the third comes the one as the fourth.”
— completes the circulatory return that Lao Tzu’s emanation sequence leaves open.
人，水也 — Man is water. (管子 Guanzi, 水地 Shui Di)
Joseph Needham, in Science and Civilisation in China (1980), published Chang Tzu-Kung’s hypothesis that the Emerald Tablet originated in Han dynasty Taoist sources. Needham identified the question. This research programme has produced operative answers.
These findings are currently taught within the Foundation’s curriculum and form the basis for ongoing scholarly work.
