The Joyful Shelter

We are a “coming soon’ ashram and retreat center in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. When open we will focus on hosting retreats, lead by our teachers and well as other like minded teachers, on connection to God (We practice Hinduism but welcome any and all faiths as long as the person teaching about them are aligned to love), yoga, meditation, breath work, women’s cycle work, mirror work, farm to table cooking, holistic medicine, and so so much more.  There will be yurts, tents and dorms to house people who want to just come stay with us and depend their peace and connection to self. There will be nature hikes, massage therapy, reiki, sound healing and more. There will be temples, a farm to table vegan/vegetarian kitchen offering meals for both the people staying on the property and the local community, as well as teach cooking classes to make organic natural food fun. We will have green houses, goats, chickens, sheep and cows for people to interact with, learn from and about, and some great goat yoga. We will have wood burning hot tubs, havan(fire) pits, drum circles, full moon dances, a red tent ( if you know you know…if you want to know please feel free to ask), water elements and the list goes on. We are a space that will lead in love, sovereignty, and believe that the body knows, the heart knows, God knows and we are all just remembering. We want to bring people back to themselves and their peace and be able to take a sacred pause to reset and come back to themselves, to be in community, and to live close to nature and to God.
